The “Bar Mitzvah” is an exciting step for a young Jew in his journey growing up. It symbolizes the time when a boy becomes a young man and is the beginning of every young person’s Jewish journey.
How did the State of Israel come to exist? When did the idea of a Jewish state become a reality? In this course, we will look at maps that tell the stories of Israel’s changing borders and we will explore the history of Israel through videos, music, art and much more. [For 5th-8th, starting Feb 15]
This course is for teens who love being in the kitchen and who want to learn how to bake. If you would like to knead, roll out dough, beat or whisk and mix – this course is for you. Whether it’s a cake, cookies, or maybe desserts, we will learn how to understand the art of Israeli baking and the love that it brings. [For Middle School & High School, starting March 2]
TLV Graffiti: Color, Technique, Art, and Social Statements. In this course we will: look at works by artists and creators of graffiti and street art from Tel Aviv-Jaffa; talk about the different techniques that the artists use in their work and try them out for ourselves; look at the social issues reflected in Tel Aviv graffiti and will try to understand the Israeli mood through the artists’ work. [For Adults, starting March 24]
מפגשי הספרות של יעל שונים ממועדוני ספרות קלאסיים. במקום המבנה המוכר של מפגשים, העוסקים בספר רחב יריעה שניתן למשתתפים חודשים קודם, הטקסט – הסיפור הקצר, השירים, הספרות המקורית והמתורגמת – מסופרים ומוקראים על ידי יעל בעת המפגש. לאחר מכן, יתקיים דיון שעניינו העלאת סוגיות ומושגים בתחום הספרותי, והצפה של נושאים שנוגעים לכולנו כמו :זוגיות, הורות, אהבה, אכזבה, טבע, צדק חברתי ועוד.

Level 2 is intended for non-Hebrew-speakers, who can read and write basic Hebrew. The sessions will be held once a week for 45-50 minutes and will focus on further developing the following language skills: reading and reading comprehension, writing, grammar, listening comprehension, and conversation. [For 1st-3rd, starting Feb 15]
Level 2 Beginners is taught in Hebrew and is intended for Hebrew-speaking students who have acquired the alphabet letters in print, as well as the Hebrew vowels, and can read and write simple words in Hebrew. The sessions will be held once a week for 45-50 minutes and will focus on further developing the following language skills: reading and reading comprehension, writing, grammar, listening comprehension, and conversation. [For 1st-2nd, starting Feb 16]
Level 2 Advanced is taught in Hebrew and is intended for Hebrew-speaking students who can write script letters, know all the vowels, and are able to read and write fluently in Hebrew. The sessions will be held once a week for 45-50 minutes and will focus on refining the following advanced language skills: reading and reading comprehension, writing, grammar, listening comprehension, and conversation. [For 3rd-4th, starting Feb 16 - @2PM PST/5PM EST]
Level 2 Advanced is taught in Hebrew and is intended for Hebrew-speaking students who can write script letters, know all the vowels, and are able to read and write fluently in Hebrew. The sessions will be held once a week for 45-50 minutes and will focus on refining the following advanced language skills: reading and reading comprehension, writing, grammar, listening comprehension, and conversation. [For Middle School, starting Feb 14 - @5PM PST/8PM EST]
