This year's Independence Day will be celebrated with the saying "a hand meets a sister's hand" this message emerges from unity, reconciliation, and closeness of hearts. 💕 We invite you to upload a photo on this subject to our Facebook page. The photo that will get the highest number of reactions will win a $74 voucher for one of the OFEK HUB courses.
The winner will be announced on the eve of Independence Day 2022.

This week at OFEK HUB, the young students learned the Exodus story and dramatized a show. We love seeing their smiles and engagement during Hebrew classes.
RELEVANT COURSES
As we get closer to Yom Hashoah, we invite youth to join a respectful online community that engages in a course devoted to studying the Holocaust. We will dissect primary source photos and text while honing our critical thinking skills regarding the major themes of the Holocaust – words, choices, and personal responsibility. [For 8th-12th grader, starting March 28]
TLV Graffiti: Color, Technique, Art, and Social Statements. In this course we will: look at works by artists and creators of graffiti and street art from Tel Aviv-Jaffa; talk about the different techniques that the artists use in their work and try them out for ourselves; look at the social issues reflected in Tel Aviv graffiti and will try to understand the Israeli mood through the artists’ work. [For Adults, starting March 24]
לומדים הורות ביחד – גיל ההתבגרות ה(נורא) נפלא – קבוצת הורים לילדים בגילאי תשע-חמש עשרה: קבוצת הורים היא המקום ללמוד הורות, לשתף ולהתייעץ. בכל מפגש נדבר על נושא אחר מתחום ההורות והמשפחה, ונלמד כלי הורי שתוכלו ליישם מיד בתום המפגש. בקורס ההעמקה שלנו נבחן את התהליכים הפסיכולוגיים שעוברים על ילדים בגיל ההתבגרות, ונקבל כלים לארגז הכלים ההורי שלנו, על מנת שנוכל להפוך למנטורים עבורם (ואלי גם עבור עצמנו), ולעזור להם לצלוח את גיל ההתבגרות בצורה מיטיבה.
את היופי של שירת הילדים בעברית אי אפשר לשכוח. היא מלווה אותנו בכל חיינו. החל מ’מה עושות האיילות’ ו’הילד הרע’ של גולדברג, דרך ‘מיכאל’, ‘דני גיבור’ ו’הבובה זהבה’ של שטקליס, ועד ל’אישה באבטיח’ של זרחי ושירי הילדים העכשוויים – שירת הילדים היא שער לעולם של אגדות, אושר, פחד ושלווה. במהלך הקורס נקרא, נכתוב ונצא למסע בעקבות היצירות הקסומות של גולדברג, הלל, שטקליס, בורלא, עמיר, גפן, זרחי ועוד – משוררים אשר העניקו לכולנו תום וחסד, וזה לא מעט.
Join the community to commemorate Yom HaShoah, On April 26th, 2022, at 5PM PST/8PM EST with a Virtual Tour in the Holocaust Museum LA. The museum is the first Holocaust Museum in the United States founded by survivors in 1961 and its mission is to commemorate those who perished, honor those who survived, teach about the Holocaust from human and historical aspects, and inspire a more dignified and human world.
