Ahead of Yom HaSho Remembrance Day, which is observed in April, we invite you to participate in this program specifically curated for young kids. Inspired by Anne Frank’s Diary of a Young Girl, Shoah Diaries is a creative writing and character development course that combines history with written responses involving empathy and critical thinking. [For 4th-6th grader,  beginning March 22]

This class will focus on a more in-depth study of the history of the Holocaust, examining the different roles of victims and perpetrators, and the social hierarchies that developed in each setting. We will dissect primary source photos and text, while continuing to hone our critical thinking skills regarding the major themes of the Holocaust – words, choices and personal responsibility. [For 8th-12th beginning, starting March 28]

Join the community to commemorate Yom HaShoah, On April 26th, 2022, at 5PM PST/8PM EST with a Virtual Tour in the Holocaust Museum LA. The museum is the first Holocaust Museum in the United States founded by survivors in 1961 and its mission is to commemorate those who perished, honor those who survived, teach about the Holocaust from human and historical aspects, and inspire a more dignified and human world.
