Hidden Places to Visit in Northern Israel

In western Galilee, you will find one of the most beautiful rivers in Israel - Nachal Ketziv. It has many entry points and hikes. The family-friendly hike is Ein Hardalit, a 30 min walk on a flat trail. Type in Waze: "Ein Hardalit parking lot," and you will arrive at your destination. Don't miss the Rosh Hanikra grottoes, and be sure to bring your swimsuit!

In the heart of the Adamit Reserve is an accessible 10-minute walking trail that will lead you to a spectacular view of the northern coast of Israel. There you'll find a unique natural phenomenon of Galilean limestone rock - Keshet Cave. Keep your distance from the railing! Type in "Keshet Cave" as your destination on Waze.

Complete with downhill and uphill climbs, Amud National Park is a 3-hour hike with beautiful water pools. Entry fee is required. You'll find a park that displays old farming and flour mills near the old city of Tzfat, which was part of Jewish life in the 16th century. The Amud Stream is part of the sea-to-sea trail and goes to the Kinneret. Enjoy the cool water (and don’t forget to bring lots of drinking water as well). Visit the old city of Tzfat after your hike.

In Kibbutz Sasa on the northern border of Israel, there is a magical place where you can enjoy a family ice cream workshop with the kids. Reservations are recommended. Many wineries in the area also host visits and tastings and offer several activities for all ages.
